First triple-tap, then double-tap, then tiny QWERTY keyboard smartphones, and finally touchscreen keyboards, the entire mobile industry has spent the past 20 years seeking a holy grail for user input. Swype uses existing touchscreen technology with a simple modification that allows a user to type without lifting their finger or stylis from the keys. Simply by dragging a stylis across the keys, Swype guesses the word you are looking for from their 65,000 word dictionary, which you can instantly add to just by tapping out the word.
Swype is being offered to OEMs for inclusion in their consumer electronics devices. For more information, visit www.swypeinc.com.
